"Our Better Angels" -- Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Leaders on Trauma, Mourning, and Healing

The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS) and Union Theological Seminary announce Our Better Angels, three public forums that will be held at St. Paul’s Chapel of Trinity Church, Wall Street (209 Broadway at Fulton), and are intended to change the tenor of public conversation about the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Each forum will feature dynamic interactions between Jewish, Christian, and Muslim leaders on the resources to deal with trauma, mourning, and healing in their traditions, followed by a meditative musical offering by world-class musicians.

Monday, May 30, 6:30 p.m. : Tragedy in Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Traditions; Musical offering Triptych by Robert Sirota, played by the Chiara String Quartet

Monday June 6, 6:30 p.m. : Mourning in Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Traditions; Musical offering of works by J. S. Bach, played by pianist Simone Dinnerstein

Monday June 13, 6:30 p.m.: Healing in Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Traditions; Musical offering of J. S. Bach, played by cellist Frederick Zlotkin and harpsichordist Kenneth Cooper.
